Coming from the Hurache-X APP, the GX2 Power Hybrid is a clear upgrade: it feels soft and firm at once, control stays solid despite being a power paddle, and drive power is really great.

“Definitely an upgrade coming from 11six24 Hurache-X APP. Loving how it feels in the court.”

Owning both GX2 Power shapes, they use the Hybrid for doubles because it gives more control and a larger sweet spot than the Elongated; both are very powerful.

“On doubles, I mainly use hybrid as I need the control and the sweetspot is larger than the elongated.”

After three hours, an intermediate ex-tennis player loves the GX2 Power Hybrid: heavy topspin, more spin than the Perseus Pro IV with a bit less power, consistent drives and a solid backhand.

“Between Boomstick and GX2 Power, I choose this, and hot damn, how I love this paddle after first 3 hours of playing.”

In about half an hour with the GX2 Hybrid Power they loved it: great ball pocketing, tons of power, and it worked well with topspin and backspin.

“I got to try it out for about half an hour recently, and I loved how it played”

A 4.2 player bought the GX2 Power Hybrid and didn't like it: too ordinary and mediocre all round, so they moved to the Boomstik.

“Bought the gx2 power hybrid. Didn't really like it. Too ordinary, mediocre all around.”

After four months of about 20 hours a week and three tournaments, their GX2 Power Hybrid was replaced under warranty with great customer service; the grit was smoother but still grittier than their used 3S or Vapor Power.

“My used paddle’s grit is still there but definitely smoother than the original.”

After a few hours demoing the GX2 Power Hybrid and Elongated alongside a Boomstik widebody, they so far prefer the Boomstik.

“so far I like the Boomstik more than the GX2s”

Owning the GX2 Integra, Power Hybrid and Power Elongated, all needed warranty replacements (end caps crack easily, edge-guard bubbles on the power paddles), yet the power series is their favourite paddle ever.

“All that being said it is my favorite paddle I have ever played with especially the power series but there seems to be some manufacturing issues.”

A short hit: light, very powerful and surprisingly controllable on soft shots, but drives and serves sailed long.

“The GX2 Power hybrid is a powerful, dwelly paddle. It feels light and extremely powerful, ... yet oddly controllable with soft shots. However when I had a ten minute hit with it all my drives/serves went long.”

Their main paddle; they absolutely love it.

Fits their game well and has been very enjoyable to play.

“Honorable Mention: tie- Gearbox GX2 power hybrid, Luzz Inferno. Both fit my game well and have been extremely enjoyable to play with”

Their paddle of the year: prefers its feel to foam cores and finds the sweet spot better than the Joola Pro IV.

“Gearbox GX2 power hybrid. I like the feel better than the foam cores. Also the sweet spot is better than the joola pro iv imo”

Loves the GX2 Power Hybrid's power and control, though they wish they'd chosen the elongated.

“I’m currently playing the Gearbox GX2 Power hybrid. Love the power and control, but wish I had gone with the elongated model.”
