A player using the elongated Boomstik says that because they brush the ball for topspin, the ball sometimes clips the protruding side weights, leaving less room to swing up through the ball.

“I find on the elongated boomstick that I brush more than contact through so the ball will occasionally clip the weights on the side cause they stick out so much.”

Coming from a Perseus Pro IV, likes it but finds it head-heavy; it felt best with handle weight or stock.

“I’ve just bought and received my boomstick and I liked the paddle.”

Insane control and stability for an elongated power paddle, though too head-heavy for their liking.

“It is absolutely insane how much control and stability I have with an elongated + power paddle, probably attributed to the MOI Tuning System.”

A brief hit left them disappointed: lots of power, but little use for a soft-game player.

“I had a brief hit with the the elongated Boomstik and was left disappointed.”

Too poppy for consistent resets in doubles and unforgiving off the sweet spot; fun for singles. They later sold it as the grit wore.

“It’s too poppy to make resets consistent, the ball dies off the face if you miss the sweet spot and it gets away from you if you’re not exact with your technique”

Used the Boomstik Elongated for a while: so much power that they focused on topspin, then switched to the widebody for manoeuvrability; fun, but the grit doesn't last.

“I used the Boomstik elongated for a while, and I just had to concentrate on generating topspin because the paddle would hit the ball hard regardless.”
