Wanted to like the TKO-CX but found it hard to control in doubles: the long handle makes it head-heavy and awkward on finesse shots, with good-not-great spin.

“The extra long handle makes the paddle very head-heavy and it has a very high balance point which makes it a bit awkward to maneuver for more finesse shots.”

Played the TKO-CX 14.3 for a long time: bad sweet spot and little forgiveness, but light, low swing weight and huge pop.

“Yeah I played tko cx 14.3 for a long time. Like others will say, bad sweet spot and not much forgiveness. Upside is it's light weight and low swing weight and pop like crazy.”

Played the TKO-CX briefly: very unforgiving with a tiny sweet spot even after weighting, and the power and pop didn't make up for it.

“It’s a very unforgiving paddle. I played with one for a short minute, added weight at 10 and 2 and it helped a bit. The gains in power and pop didn’t outweigh the forgiveness issues.”

Playing every day, went through 3 TKO-CX paddles: one lasted 4 months with some delamination, the others 4.5 and 2 months before the pop died.

“I have used 3 Paddletek TKO-CX paddles so far. I play every day. The first one lasted for 4 months with a bit of delamination The second one lasted 4.5 months. The pop just died off.”

Loves the power, control and balance of the TKO-CX 14.3, but the wooden handle pieces vary in size and the soft wood takes a thumb imprint over time.

“Although I love the power/control and balance of this paddle, I’ve noticed that the wooden handle pieces are usually (very) slightly different sizes”

After about three months of steady use, their TKO-CX 12.7 dropped badly in performance and a weight came loose inside; still waiting on the warranty replacement.

“I started using it consistently three months ago and about a months ago I notice a huge drop in performance. My balls were consistently hitting the net, be it drives or drops.”

Using the TKO-CX 12.7 for singles: feels really good but goes through periods of inconsistency and mishits, and friends say it's hard to use.

“The TKO-CX feels really food to play with but I’ve noticed that I can go through periods where I am just really inconsistent with it during games.”

Sold their TKO-CX 12.7 and finds a friend's weighted ALW-C 12.7 plays better, more linear with better feel.

“Same, I had (and sold) the TKO-CX 12.7 and my buddy’s weighted up ALW-C 12.7 plays better IMO.”
